Lori Bisceglie is an Honor’s graduate of New York University’s Physical Therapy program. Lori has previously worked in pediatrics at Saint Barnabas Hospital in New Jersey (both inpatient and outpatient), has experience including the NICU and PICU, private and public school settings, and has utilized adjunctive therapy protocols such as Pediatric Hippotherapy, Therapeutic Horseback Riding, Karate for Kids with Special Needs, and Aquatic Physical Therapy (pediatric and adults) with great success. Lori has devoted the last 10 years working exclusively in Early Intervention (birth to three years old) in Rockland County. She utilizes a combination of treatment strategies including Brain Gym®, yoga positioning, NDT and SI techniques. Additionally, Lori is a Certified Reiki Master/Teacher in the Usui Tradition, a Karuna Reiki® practitioner, and a Certified Practitioner of IGM® Therapeutic Acupressure. In January of 1999, Lori rescued a purebred Weimaraner who had been labeled “untrainable”. Arrow is now a registered therapy dog and as a team they are active volunteers in the Hudson Valley Visiting Pet Program (HVVPP) and Intermountain Therapy Animal’s R.E.A.D. program visiting in nursing homes, schools and libraries. The R.E.A.D. program helps children build confidence with their reading, verbal and comprehension skills. Lori and Arrow were voted Volunteer of the Year in 2009 by the HVVPP.
